چکیده

To be acceptable in industry vision systems must be inexpensive within the speed of the production line ow and very accurate While visual inspection is high in potential at present the design and implementation of automatic visual inspection systems is labor intensive In addition most of the visual inspection systems are developed in isolation with no systematic approach Increasing exibility to allow the inspection of parts whose positions are less constrained is desirable This work aims to show a systematic automated visual inspection concept that separates the detection of primitives from the model based analysis process This separation is ob tained by de ning a general analysis graph for inspection containing detail relations that represent detection algorithms Together with an object speci c description de ned in a socalled description language the analysis graph is instantiated Existing pattern recog nition software is re used in the detection stage and therefore the use of any detection algorithm is possible without changing the analysis The concept can be seen as a recipe for solving industrial applications stating which kind of decision have to be made at which

A Flexible Concept for Automatic Visual Inspection

This work aims to show a systematic automated visual inspection concept that speeds up the development of such systems by providing a software reuse and setup concept. A new, highly adaptable concept for visual inspection separates the detection of primitives from the modelbased analysis process. This separation is reached by defining a general analysis graph for inspection, containing detail r...

Sensitivity and Specificity of Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA) and with Lugol Iodine (VILI) in the Diagnosis of Cervical Cancer in the Northern Region of Cameroon

Cervical cancer is one of the major causes of women death worldwide. The aim of this study was to test the sensitivity and specificity of visual inspection with acetic acid (VIA) and visual inspection with lugol iodine (VILI) as a diagnostic test for cervical cancer in comparison with Pap smear in the North Cameroon region. 309 women aged between 20 to 62 years were recruited in this study. 307...

Application of J-BMS to Performance Evaluation and Remaining Life Prediction of an Existing RC Bridge

This paper describes a method of performance evaluation and remaining life prediction for an aged reinforced concrete (RC) T-girder bridge by J-BMS RC version via close visual inspection data, and also verifies the assessment results obtained as outputs from the Bridge Rating Expert System (RC-BREX) which is a subsystem of the J-BMS, to evaluate the effectiveness of the system. The Bridge Manag...

Evaluation of Diagnodent Accuracy in Detecting Approximal Caries in Primary Molars

Introduction: Detection of caries lesions on approximal surfaces of posterior teeth is difficult, since wide contact points hamper direct visual inspection. Due to the importance of the early detection of dental caries, the aim of this study is to compare the performance of different methods (visual, bitewing radiography and DIAGNOdent) in detecting approximal caries in primary molars. Methods:...
